E-mail your Resume and Cover letter to jobs@dancedistrict.ca
We do have limited spots. |
The classes are held monday evenings from 7pm to 9pm ( classes are two hours long).
This progam works in four one-month sessions, each of which will focus on one dance. Each session will be followed by an examination, and anyone not passing an examination will need to re-take that session.
Once a student has completed all four session, there will be one final exam, which will certify the instructor as a Junior Ballroom Dance Teacher.
The program will teach you how to teach all of the utility dance steps any student will ever need to know in order to start dancing in a social environment, focusing on the four most commonly taught ballroom dances. This training will be the basis of any dance instruction you will do in the future and so it will focus on the technical aspects of dance as much as the practical.
The Dances Taught include the Rumba, Fox Trot, ChaCha and Waltz.
Successful completion of the program does not guarantee placement as a teacher at Dance District, however it will give you a firm grasp of the basics of dance and dance instruction, and we currently have graduates of the program teaching at Dance District Social Dance Studio, as well as several other dance studios throughout the Greater Toronto Area as well as in downtown Toronto.
You can register in person at the dance studio or over the phone at 416 603 4004.
Programs can be completed in any order:
August 1, 2011
- Waltz
September 5, 2011 - Rumba
October 3, 2011 - Foxtrot
This program costs $195 per month-long block plus HST.
No-Cost In-Kind Service option available. Interested candidates are asked to send their resume and cover letter stating why they would be a good candidate for this program to jobs@dancedistrict.ca. As you will be working for the studio please highlight your qualifications and what skills you bring to Dance District Social Dance Studio.
